ExSEL (Explicit Social-Emotional Learning) is a districtwide program serving students in grades K–8, and we are so fortunate to have ExSEL right here at Murray Avenue, supporting our K–5 learners! ExSEL helps children build the social, emotional, and behavioral skills they need to navigate friendships, understand their feelings, solve problems, manage challenges, and grow into confident, compassionate individuals. Through meaningful learning experiences, opportunities to practice important life skills, and collaboration with teachers, staff, and families, we work together to create a school community where every child feels seen, supported, valued, and ready to learn. At the heart of ExSEL is the belief that social-emotional learning benefits every child, and that when we nurture these skills together, we help all Murray Avenue students learn, grow, and thrive! We are so excited that the Murray Avenue PTA is teaming up with ExSEL for this special merch drop to celebrate our program and the social-emotional learning community we are building together!
